Office workers with heavy workloads and long working hours usually do not have the time and energy to deal with their personal lives.

To validate our assumnption. We organized five individuals who have work experience for interview. We organize some insights from them:

Ideation, Testing & Iteration

Version #1

Empathy-driven research, ideation and early prototyping. Conduct Usability focusing on desirability and user needs.

Version #2

Refined though user testing, this version improved accessibility, navigation and key placement, with users praising its intuitive structure and mood-tracking feature.

Version #3

Upgraded materials and structure for viability, cost efficiency and market appeal. Key interactions moved to the wall lamp for better intuitiveness.

Version #4

Seamless integration with suroundings. Refined form language: introducing “ripple” design for a more immersive experience.

Final Design

System Activation

The user starts their journey by placing the key on the key plate. The sensor on the key plate will scan the user to collect emotional data. With the help of AI, EquiLife can personalize the experience.

Overview & Meditation

After activation, the wall lamp will display the emotional status to the user, with suggestions for meditation exercises. The user can start meditation with the immersive sound and light effect.

Mood Setting

After settling down their mind, the user can start enjoy their personal time. They can play music or podcasts with different mood profiles.

Sleep Schedule

At the end of the day, the user can set up their sleep schedule so the wall lamp can help them sleep with white noise and wake them up with subtle light.
